If you are a Massachusetts veteran - you can get certified for medical cannabis at a significant discount or even free.
- If you have an existing Veterans Affairs (VA) medical provider, soon they will be able to certify you as part of your annual or bi-annual regular appointment - at no extra cost to you. This will happen after the current 2024 U.S. House bill is enacted into law, allowing the use of federal VA funding to issue certifications. Before seeing your doctor for the certification, make sure that your VA provider is registered with the state to do it.
- If you are a veteran who does not get treated by a VA doctor or if your provider is not registered with the state, you can get a significant discount by certifying through MassachusettsCannabis.org:
MassachusettsCannabis.org supports qualifying veterans by offering medical cannabis certifications at a deep discount.
To get the discounted price, a veteran will be required to submit proof of veteran status as part of the medical intake form.
